Covenant Roofing and Construction, Inc.® collected 2,627 pounds of school supplies through its Stuff the Truck campaign, earning first place as the top business contributor in the Education Foundation of Lake County’s Core Tools for Schools Summer Supply Drive.
The campaign began with an ambitious goal of collecting 1,000 pounds of supplies. By the time the final donations were weighed, Covenant Roofing and Construction had more than doubled that target, bringing together employees, customers, community partners, and donors around a shared goal of supporting Lake County teachers and students.
Covenant’s collection contributed to a record-breaking community-wide total of nearly 8,000 pounds of school supplies, surpassing the previous record and demonstrating what can happen when local businesses and residents work together.
The donated supplies will help stock the Education Foundation’s Apple-Mart stores, where Lake County public school teachers can obtain classroom materials at no cost. The program helps ensure educators have access to essential supplies while reducing the amount they may otherwise spend from their own pockets.
As part of the campaign, Covenant Roofing and Construction also committed to matching donations at $1 per pound, up to $1,000.
The Stuff the Truck campaign encouraged employees, homeowners, business contacts, and neighbors to donate notebooks, pencils, crayons, backpacks, folders, glue sticks, and other classroom essentials. Collection efforts were promoted through social media, company outreach, and partnerships with local organizations.
Employees embraced the initiative by donating supplies, encouraging friends and family to participate, sharing campaign information, and helping prepare, load, transport, and unload the company’s collection.
Community partners also helped expand the campaign’s reach by collecting donations and sharing the initiative through their own networks. An anonymous donor made a particularly generous contribution, providing $1,000 worth of school supplies and adding significant momentum to the effort.
For Covenant Roofing and Construction, the campaign was a natural extension of the values that guide the company’s work throughout Florida.
The Difference Is The Promise® is more than a statement about roofing. It represents a commitment to follow through, serve with integrity, and show up for the communities Covenant Roofing calls home.
The company provides residential roof replacement, roof repair, storm-damage support, and professional roof evaluations for Florida homeowners. That same emphasis on accountability and service guided the Stuff the Truck campaign from its launch through the final weigh-in.
The Education Foundation of Lake County’s Core Tools for Schools program connects community generosity directly with classroom needs. Through Apple-Mart, teachers can access donated school supplies throughout the year, helping ensure students have the tools needed to learn and succeed.
Every pound collected represents notebooks on classroom desks, pencils in students’ hands, and one less expense for the educators who dedicate their careers to serving Lake County children.
Covenant Roofing and Construction plans to continue supporting organizations and initiatives that strengthen the communities it serves.
